Bag Packing

We will pack the 100 bags on Wednesday and deliver them along with the 50 extra brochures to the executive Director and/or director of nursing and/or social worker at 20 of the Eastside nursing homes this Wednesday Thursday and Friday. The bags will be given to seniors that are discharging from local rehab facilities next week.

Those who participate will also receive a spreadsheet with a contacts of the professionals that we connected with.

There is no cost for this joint, marketing endeavor, other than the price of the chips or cookies, etc.

Even if you do not have items to put into the bags, you’re welcome to help us to pack from 9 AM till 11 AM this Wednesday.

Some of the things that are being donated include snacks from Kristen at Revive wound care, bath size wipes from Wendy at Best Solutions DME, and game books from Shalom at Right At Home.  We have heard from eight companies that are participating so far.

You do not need to commit to helping with the delivery on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but it’s  a wonderful marketing opportunity.  The last time we did this, I remember that one of the hospice reps who joined us received a referral for a client that he was able to help immediately. The good work that his team did that day enabled them to help other patients at the same facility the following week.

We get feedback each time we do this event from the nurses who distribute our bags and tailor we bags accordingly. For our seniors who are discharging home, the discharge process may be scary, and the things that we provide are designed to put a smile on their faces.

Our next bag packing event will be in early December, before the holidays, and the warm items will be distributed by a dozen senior centers to shut in and homebound seniors.
