Bag Packing
Discharging from rehab can be a long and sometimes scary process. Our Cleveland Senior Network has decided to make the process a bit happier for 100 local seniors this Summer.
A dozen of us will meet on Tuesday morning July 28, from 9-11AM, to pack bags of games and snacks for seniors who will be discharged from local rehabs. Filling the bags with snacks and collateral is a lot of fun, and a great opportunity for networking and picture taking. Right at Home will provide coffee and snacks.
Please email or call Shalom at if you would like to participate at shalom@ohioseniorcare.net
You may participate in 3 ways; either by donating items to put in the bags, joining us for the packing party, or helping to distribute the bags over the following few days.
Items for the 100 bags can be dropped off up to a week in advance at our packing site with my receptionist Alex. When you drop off the 100 items please also give us 150 brochures or flyers. The extra collateral goes to the management team of the facilities that have agreed to partner with us on the project.

Over the last 6 years Our Cleveland Senior Network has worked together on this project many times. We have discovered that some of the most appreciated and successful items are game books with a branded pan, pretzels with a branded chip clip, and playing cards with an identifying sticker. Please call our marketing VP Melinda Smith 216-409-8140 if you would like more suggestions.
We endeavor to curate the bags by not having too much overlap of either donated items or the services that are being advertised. We also modify the distribution to take into account the preferences of certain facilities and specific dietary restrictions. The 20 SNFs are clustered in the Eastern suburbs.
Any rep/company donating 100 items will also receive information about how to follow up with the facilities.
